The Cagle's

JOSH CAGLE
Lead Pastor

Amber and I have been married for just over ten years now! It is so hard to believe, but during that ten years God has provided us with two incredible boys, Caleb and Cayden. During that ten years Amber and I have served in three great churches working with students. Over the past five years I led the student ministries department at Rolling Hills Christian Church in El Dorado Hills, CA. Yes, we are another California transplant living in Round Rock. Since college and the beginning of working in ministry I always believed God would ask me to take some crazy risk and start a church and now here we are! We believe 100 percent that God has led us to take this step and are having an amazing time following Him on this journey. We can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the life of Summit Community Church and the people that will risk it all and follow Him!

Favorite Movie?
To be honest I hate this question, how are you supposed to pick just one movie?? So, here are a few of my favorites, Rudy, Remember the Titans, Titanic (yeah right), Sandlot, Braveheart, Gladiator and Billy Madison.

What’s playing on my Ipod?
I love a little bit everything, but I love a little Cold Play, Johnny Cash, Donavon Frankenreiter or you can go old school with a little MC Hammer, Young MC, Gun’s n Roses.

Favorite Book?
I don’t know that I have a favorite book, but I do love books, I try my best to have a book I read through in the morning and one I fall asleep to at night. As a kid I did love the Hardy Boys!! Remember that?

Favorite Scripture?
John 3:30closeJohn 3:30 30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (ESV) “He must become greater; I must become less.” This verse challenges me every time I read it.

Favorite Vacation Spot?
I would have to say Maui, now I have only been once and it was our honeymoon, so that may have something to do with it. I love getting away with the family and not worrying about a thing!

The Vick's

RANDE VICK
Worship Pastor

Sunnie, Judah, Levi, and I – like so many before us -  made the Great Trek to Round Rock from Southern California. It’s funny that we had to travel 1500 miles from California to meet this church planting crew in Texas – but I believe God has a sense of humor! Sunnie and I have been married for eleven years, and have been blessed with our two sons. We have served at New Life Christian Fellowship in West Covina in a whole bunch of capacities, and I had been leading up the worship team there for about four years. Over a course of several months, and in several funny ways, God made it clear that His plan for us included Texas – specifically Round Rock, and so we packed up and followed His call. We are excited to plug in at Summit, to be part of what God is doing here and put our gifts to work for His Kingdom. The best part? My kids love the children’s ministry; I get free coffee after service; Parking is ample… just kidding! Those things are all true and great – but the best part is that I’ve met some real people with authentic faith, who aren’t perfect and don’t pretend to be, but who desperately want to experience the life-changing reality of Jesus – and I totally relate.

Favorite Movies?
Star Wars (any of ‘em), Lord of the Rings (all of ‘em), Up!, Passion of the Christ, Scooby Doo and the Vampire (Ok, that’s Judah’s fave)… I have a 15 month old son, so I have not been able to go to many movies for 15 months…

What’s Playing on my Ipod?
Here’s a combo of “most played” and “recently played” in no particular order: The Beatles, Brandi Carlile, Damien Rice, U2, Phil Wickham, The Shins, Fee, Elvis Costello, Delirious, Ryan Adams, John Mayer, Otis Redding, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wilco, Lincoln Brewster, Foo Fighters, Aaron Ivey, David Crowder Band, Coldplay and Hillsong United.

Favorite Book?
The Bible, of course. Bono on Bono: Conversations with Michka Assayas, Divine Conspiracy, Dream Brother, The Knowledge of the Holy, Catcher in the Rye, Reaching for the Invisible God, and What’s so Amazing About Grace, to name a few… Currently reading Running with the Horses by Eugene Peterson.

Favorite Vacation Spot?
I don’t really know… send me some recommendations… I need a vacation!

Favorite BBQ Spot?
Salt Lick. Hands down. Maybe Rudy’s…

The Priddy Family

LINDY PRIDDY
Administrative Assistant

I grew up in South Texas for most of my life. I went to college in Corpus Christi, TX where I met my husband, Jeremiah. We have been blessed with three beautiful daughters. Their personalities are so different…it is so neat to see how God molds us each so differently!

Jeremiah and I were first involved in ministry and leadership at Hill Country Round Rock. After learning more about HCBC’s vision of church planting, prayer and more prayer…we knew this was something we were ready to be apart of! God has stretched us so much this past year- but we are loving every minute of it.
