Summit Community Church is a new community that wants to see people connected to Jesus, Others and the World. We are a group of individuals with a common heart and passion to see what God will do in Round Rock when His people live on mission; Knowing God and making Him known.
The formation of Summit started in September, 2008 with Josh and Amber Cagle relocating from Sacramento, CA to the Round Rock area. That was then followed by the gathering of an amazing team of people that have a heart to see lives changed by Jesus. As the team began to pray about where we would begin, we saw God open some huge doors; one of them being the opening of Ridgeview Middle School. While we were looking for a place to meet for our Sunday Gatherings, we searched all of Round Rock praying the RRISD would decide to open schools on Sunday mornings. After a ton of prayer and energy they decided to open two schools!! It was an amazing answer to prayer! Summit will always be grateful to Hill Country Bible Round Rock and Keith Ferguson who lead the charge in reaching out to the school board. God is continuing to do miraculous things through this group of people and we can’t wait to really begin writing our story in the years to come.
